The context

A demo built to win pitches

Eskimoz, a digital acquisition agency, needed something tangible to support its responses to requests for proposals: a real site in its own brand, rather than a set of static mockups.

The goal was twofold: demonstrate the level of design and performance achievable on WordPress, and show the prospect, screen shared, how they would edit their own content day to day.

The challenge

A demo has to convince on two fronts at once: a result that stands comparison with a premium site, and an editing experience obvious enough for a non-technical person to grasp in seconds.

Avoiding the page-builder trap — HTML frozen in the database, stacks of nested divs, heavy pages — and above all a layout that falls apart the moment someone touches a section.

The solution

A real, complete WordPress site — six pages and a blog — on a Bedrock foundation with a Sage 11 theme and Tailwind CSS 4, where every section is a dynamically rendered native Gutenberg block, editable in place on the real design.

A mirror between the editing component and the front-end Blade view, plus a palette and button variants locked in theme.json: the demo holds together, and nobody can produce an unreadable combination live.
